My Journey - Day 30

Today concludes my first month, I can honestly say that my life style has done a 180 degrees switch, I now live my day to day with a smile, I'm way more tolerant, positive, proactive, out-going and the list goes on, the physical changes are noticeable now, I may need to go shopping next month.

I know what you want, the results.

Get Slim or Die Trying - My Journey Day 22

Hello my friends,

It's been a couple of weeks since my last update, I know what you're thinking "He left the diet and went back to McDonald's" but no, I'm still in this wonderful journey of eternal healthcare and wellness.

So how was it these past couple of weeks?
R/ My once beloved friend called Anxiety is now gone, I can now eat with friends and family without wanting to choke them on a daily basis and have finally found the taste in healthy food, I must say I'm creating an eating habit that will last for the rest of my life.

Challenges: Now that anxiety is out of the way, my biggest challenge is drinking the required amount of water to get rid of the excess of liquid in my body, it's not that I don't like it but on my day to day I forget and end up drinking about 3 liters, the goal is to drink 6 liters of water every day, about 600 ml every 2 hours.

The results: On week 2 &3  I chose a chocolate bar, a fruit juice and a cheese omelette + the 250 grams of protein with 2 cups of vegetables, the products were absolutely delicious and for my check up the weight loss was: 4.9.

Total weight loss: 9.3 kg (08/29/2014)

Initial weight: 146.7
Current weight: 137.4

Get Slim or Die Trying - My Journey Day 8

Hello everyone,

Today is day 8 of my diet, a life time jouney I decided to take 8 days ago. I must say, this has been the most challenging week of my life, I had to deal with constant delicious odors, fast food commercials and road signs that had me at the border of demencia.

So day 1 & 2 were the toughest, my addiction to suicidal food was too much and all I could think about was hamburgers, mozarella sticks, french fries, friend chicken and I could go on but that would only make suffer just by mentioning these lol.

Day 3-7 were just a matter of getting used to a new eating habit and finding ways to keep theveggies tasty, believe me I'm struggling with that, I suck as a chef.

The products itself were okay, I mean they're not a piece of pizza but they taste fairly well, it was a chocolate shake for breakfast, 250 grams of protein with 2 cups of vegetables for lunch, a yogurt blueberry shake for a snack and a chicken soup with 2 cups of vegetables for dinner.

I had my first check up last Thursday, I went from 146.7 kg to 142/3, that's 4.4 kg in 6 days and I am extremely satisfied with that, all fat, no muscle loss.

Next check up next Friday, I will keep you all posted with the results.

Get Rich or Die Trying - My Journey Day 1

Hello everyone,

My name is Luis Alvarado and I am from Costa Rica, throughout my life I've struggled with weight problems, I was raised in the states in Miami, Florida where I was used to eating nothing but fast food, that created terrible eating habits yet still, I was very active with basketball so I always thought the weight was under control.

When I turned 18 I got a job at a Fortune 500 company with great benefits, in other words "lots of food", I began gaining weight non-stop and put a stop to any physical activity. I've tried every diet on the market, from Herbalife to Omnilife, high protein no carb diets, veggie diets, you name it. About 2 years ago I did one that had me going, I was super motivated with a nice diet, control appointments and lot of exercise, I was swimming at the time and loved it, I went down from 148 kg to 125 in about 6 months, however to get the results I wanted I had to continue for over a year and that was too much for me and I gave up honestly. I began putting the weight on again and I am now at 146 kg.

About 3 months ago I heard about a new system called "Ideal Protein" as a friend of mine was doing it and the results were great and it was until yesterday that I had my first appointment and bought the products, quite expensive but worth every dollar, I hope.

With the diet you get to choose between Shakes of different flavours, soup, pasta, omellete, cereal, amongst others but it forbids you from drinking alcohol (a tough one for me) and eating unhealthy food, you still get to eat vegetables and meat.

I began my diet today and on a weekly basis I will be sharing the results with you.

Have a great weekend!
